History

Our history began in the early 1970’s as the first European company to manufacture cell culture products for the European scientific community. In mid 1992, we established Atlanta Biologicals, a manufacturing facility and sales offices in suburban Atlanta, Georgia to provide life science laboratories in the U.S. with the same quality products and services as provided by us in Europe. Since our inception, Atlanta Biologicals has modernized its facilities and changed locations several times to accommodate our expanding requirements for manufacturing and customer service space. We moved in the fall of 1992, the fall of 1996 and most recently in the spring 2003. Our most recent relocation in the Atlanta area has given Atlanta Biologicals the ability to improve all aspects of our business relationship with our customers. We now have a highly efficient custom designed facility that significantly expanded and upgraded our administrative, sales, customer service, technical support, manufacturing, product storage and shipping/receiving areas. The benefits to our customers are accelerated processing of your inquiries and orders, and continuing improvements in the quality of our products manufactured on-site.

Production, Quality Control and Quality Assurance

Today, we supply life science researchers worldwide with high quality cell culture research products. With our years of experience, we have developed detailed written procedures for each product that we manufacture, guaranteeing consistency in the manufacturing process from batch to batch. Our production staff is extensively trained in the manufacture and record keeping aspects of each product. Raw materials used in manufacturing are carefully selected for quality and inspected prior to use in manufacturing to ensure that they meet our stringent raw material requirements. We document critical parameters from the manufacturing process to aid in the routine monitoring of the quality and consistency of our processes by our quality control department. In addition, samples of each lot produced are evaluated by our Q.C. personnel to assure that the product meets our quality standards. Our quality control staff and production staff work closely together to consistently guarantee products of unsurpassed quality. We constantly challenge ourselves to find new ways of innovating and streamlining our manufacturing processes to further improve product performance.
Atlanta Biologicals’ quality assurance group monitors all customer service, sales, technical support, production and quality control efforts to assure that our customers are getting the quality products and customer service that they expect from us.

Shipping

When processing your order, your sales representative will determine the least expensive and most expedient way to ship your order to you. Frozen products are generally shipped on dry ice by overnight air service and ambient products are shipped by second day service, unless specified otherwise by our customer. Our shipping department utilizes custom designed insulated shipping containers in order to maintain a shipping temperature adequate for the product shipped. We pride ourselves on the quick response time from receiving your order to shipping your products to you, with most orders being shipped the day received.
