Calf Serum, Heat Inactivated

Atlanta Biologicals brand Calf Serum (Bovine Calf Serum, BCS) is derived from disease-free animals that are 2 weeks to 12 months of age, and manufactured under stringent collection and processing standards.
Calf Serum is often used as a cost effective substitute for Fetal Bovine Serum in applications where the low concentrations of protein found in Fetal Bovine Serum and its superior growth-supporting capacity are not essential.

Calf Serum, Heat Inactivated is treated by heat inactivation where serum is exposed to a temperature of 56

C for 30 minutes under controlled conditions.
