Gentamicin 50 mg/ml

Gentamicin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic produced by Micromonospora. It binds to the 30S subunit of the bacterial 70S ribosome and blocks the initiation complex of protein synthesis. It is used in cell culture applications to prevent contamination.

• Spectrum: gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, mycoplasma
• 50 mg/ml solution of gentamicin sulfate in deionized water
• Recommended concentration: 0.5 to 50 ug/ml (use 10ul/L to 1 ml/L)
• Stability at 37C: 5 days
